Meaning & Origin
A minor character in the Old Testament.
Uzziel is a boy's baby name of Hebrew origin, from the Hebrew Uzziel, composed of oz (strength, power) and el (God), meaning 'God is my strength' or 'strength of God.'
Uzziel appears in the Hebrew Bible as a grandson of Levi and ancestor of the Levitical clan — a name carrying priestly heritage within ancient Israelite tradition. In Jewish mystical texts, Uzziel is also named as an archangel, adding another layer of spiritual weight to this ancient and rarely used Hebrew name.
