Meaning & Origin
Mohammadhamza is a boy's baby name of Arabic origin, a double name honoring both the Prophet Muhammad (from Muḥammad, meaning 'praised, praiseworthy') and his uncle Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib (from the Arabic ḥamza, meaning 'lion' or 'steadfast'). Hamza was one of Islam's earliest and most revered martyrs, killed at the Battle of Uhud.
Mohammadhamza carries two of Islam's most honored names simultaneously — the Prophet's own name and the name of the Lion of God, his warrior uncle who died defending the young faith. A name of the deepest Islamic devotion.
