Meaning & Origin
Eroz is a boy's baby name of Greek origin, an alternative spelling of Eros, the Greek god of love and desire, whose name derives from the Greek eros (ἔρως), meaning 'desire' or 'love.' In Greek mythology, Eros was the son of Aphrodite and one of the primal forces of the universe, later adopted by the Romans as Cupid.
Eroz is extremely rare in U.S. birth records, and Eros itself is used only sparingly, likely because of its direct association with erotic love. The -z ending gives the name a modern, slightly distanced look, separating it visually from the ancient deity while keeping the same ancient resonance.
